New Lens (70 – 300mm) and Wildlife!
So, I got some new glass for Christmas!! A 70 – 300 zoom/macro lens; swoon. It’s a long lens and boy, is it heavy, but it sure is nice to have some real reach when I want it. I’ve used it several times for portrait stuff (it’s a great way to get up close to a person without being UP CLOSE to a person), but you have to be careful to watch for distortion.
As such, I thought I’d share a few wildlife photos that I’ve taken in the last 6 weeks; some were providence (the butterfly) and some were just flat out determination to get close (to a freaking squirrel). Enjoy!
